Role: Chief of Staff [Strategic Operations], Delhi Experience: 8+ years Salary: Upto 15-20 LPA Reporting to: CEO/Co-founder/Head of Organization Note: These are the non-negotiable minimum requirements : Top-tier education (domestic/ international), substantial global work exposure , and prior experience in management roles in Non profit sector. ________________________________________________ About the role: The Chief of Staff is a critical strategic partner to the CEO/organizational head, acting as a force multiplier across the organization. This role demands a high level of agility, leadership, and operational excellence to ensure seamless execution of organizational priorities and effective collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Planning and Executive Support Prioritization: Serve as the strategic thought partner to the CEO, helping to prioritize goals, manage time allocation, and ensure focus on mission-critical initiatives. Operationalizing Strategy: Translate strategic vision into clear, actionable, and measurable operational plans, tracking their progress across departments. Meeting Leadership: Manage and facilitate effective executive and leadership team meetings, ensuring clear agendas, documented action items, and follow-through. 2. Cross-Functional Coordination and Organizational Effectiveness: Information Flow: Act as the central hub for information, ensuring alignment and clear communication between the leadership team, functional heads, and external partners. Process Optimization: Identify and drive improvements in organizational structures, policies, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. Special Projects: Lead and execute high-priority, cross-functional projects and initiatives that fall outside the purview of existing teams, ensuring timely delivery. 3. Stakeholder Management and Representation: External Relations: Support the CEO in managing key external relationships, including government partners, donors, and collaborative organizations. Communication: Develop and manage high-quality communication materials (e.g., reports, policy briefs, presentations) for the CEO, board, and external audiences. Events and Thought Leadership: Support the planning and execution of key organizational events, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives. 4. Talent and Culture Support: Leadership Alignment: Work with the HR and Leadership teams to ensure organizational culture, hiring, and talent management practices support the strategic vision. Team Development: Support internal development and capacity-building initiatives for the leadership team. Required Qualifications and Competencies: Experience: Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in a demanding role within consulting, project management, or a Chief of Staff capacity, preferably within the development or education sector. Education: Masters degree preferred in Management, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field. Skills: Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders (government, academia, donors). Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects simultaneously and deliver under tight deadlines. Analytical Acumen: Familiarity with data dashboards, KPI tracking, and organizational performance metrics.
